The banking system in the Philippines consists of various types (universal, commercial, thrifty, rural, etc). The largest and most popular nationwide are the universal banks. Universal banks possess the same qualities and capabilities as to commercial banks. Additional power and difference is that it is also an Investment bank. (Further  explanation on my next posts)
